In July 2021, Blackshark.ai joined the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) as an associate member. The OGC is a global consortium of over 500 businesses, government agencies, research organizations, and universities united with the desire to make geospatial information FAIR – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

The diverse community of OGC members is committed to making access to geospatial information easier. That’s why OGC members participate in the development of free and publicly available standards. They participate in OGC meetings, working groups, and innovative research programs with the goal of mastering location-based challenges. This is made possible through interoperable and standardized formats that are widely adopted by data providers and developers alike.

Blackshark.ai’s expertise in AI-generated location information will support the standardization of cartographically accurate representations of the world in 3D, also known as digital twins. They allow the connection of the virtual and the physical world through geospatial data.
